Vuk weaves rich, mysterious sonic tapestries from her voice, a pump organ, layered percussion, electric organ and autoharp. Live, she usually performs with a four-piece band. Her second album, "The Plains" won her rave reviews in Finland and abroad, and helped her tour extensively in Europe and the U.S., notably as the hand-picked opening act for Fever Ray's U.S. tour in 2009.
